This smells so good! My dog (a Yorkie) gets a bath every week, but this adds on to her smelling amazing. If it were a perfume I would buy it for myself. The scent isn’t overly powerful which is great for those with sensitive noses. It just take two or three quick sprays and the smell will last a couple of days, assuming your dog isn’t rolling in the mud afterwards. I would recommend it to other dog owners. My mother even started using it for her chihuahua she loved it so much.

This looks a little weird straight out of the bottle, it's as black as ink, but it doesn't stain your hands or towels. I used this on my black and tan German Shepherd and it got him nice and clean but I didn't notice it make much difference in the depth of color or shine of his coat. He's about six and still has a youthful lustrous coat so in a few weeks I will try it on my little dog Abby whose a senior. Her coat does get a little dull so maybe this might bring back some of her luster. I wonder if this will cover her grey?

This is a nice cat and dog shampoo that works very well. It has a pleasant fragrance that I personally like. You don’t need a lot of it when you use it and it lathers up quite nicely which makes dispersing it through the coat nice and easy. Once done you can rinse it out nice and quickly which is important to me since you want to get it out fast. My cat really doesn’t care for baths much so the quicker I can get it out the better. All in all a good product, although I think it is a bit expensive in my eyes since the bottle is a bit small for what you get.

I usually use a product specific for facial wash so that it doesn't irritate my dog's eyes. But the problem is when you are trying to use so many different products and your dog hates baths like mine, it becomes a rush to finish fast. I love that this shampoo is natural and organic and most of all tearless! I can use this shampoo to wash my dog from his forehead all the way to his tail. I usually followup with a conditioner to give his skin a little extra moisturizing goodness. He smells so good and his fur is soft and fluffy afterward. I would advise diluting this product because a little goes a long way. It is thick and hard to rinse off if you use it straight from the bottle. It is on the expensive side and I could see folks with larger dogs balking at the price. I have a small dog so this bottle will last quite a while and is worth it for me. I think if your dog has sensitive skin or you want to go a more natural organic route, then consider giving this product a try.

I like that the shampoo is all natural and organic and is extra gentle for dogs with irritated/sensitive skin. It really helps with minor itching and doesn't have that typical medicinal scent. I like to dilute so I can worth up a good lather. Afterward I follow up with a conditioner to moisturize the skin even more. Unlike other shampoos, this doesn't strip the skin's natural oils and my dog's fur feels so soft and clean after his bath. I only use this when I see him scratching more than he usually does. It helps with the itching, but if your dog is still scratching a lot after using this product, I would stop and consult with vet to see what is the problem.

I just used this today on my long-haired cat. She is a good kitty, but she has trouble keeping herself clean in her old age (arthritis doesn't help). Her skin has also been irritated. One wash with this stuff and she hasn't itched herself at all (she was really chomping down for awhile there). She's also nice and clean. It's perfect.

The shampoo has a nice scent but it's not overwhelming, which is good. The poor kitty may have arthritis, but there's nothing wrong with her nose and she doesn't like it when things smell too strong.

I have a white miniature poodle and as you could imagine her fur gets yellowed, this shampoo worked wonderfully at restoring her fur back to a beautiful bright white color.

In addition to that the smell is amazing and knowing that it is made with safe ingredients that won't harm my girl is a major plus.

She also has sensitive skin that sometimes can become red and irritated with the use of certain products, but this product did not irritate her skin at all.

I used this to wash our beagle.
It does have a very pleasant Aloe Vera cent. towards the strong side so make sure you like this scent. otherwise it might be too much for you. at first it smell like plastic to me, but after using it is just the initial prewash scent that is making it seem that way.
It bubbles up nicely as I apply and wash my dog. i estimate I probably used 1/10 of the bottle for one bath for medium size 30 lb dog.
rinsing off is pretty much like other dog shampoo and body wash. very easy rise off.
My dog has no complains on the body wash, still hates to shower, but no more than usual. ;-)

Helps with the itch Itch Relief

My dog has been so itchy lately and I've tried a couple of different shampoos to help him feel better. This one has been the most helpful to him. The shampoo is clear and has a mild scent. It smells good, but doesn't leave any lingering fragrance on his coat. It works itself into a foamy lather that I can really rub into his fur to make him clean. It rinses out well too, leaving no residue to make the itching worse.

After using this shampoo, my dog still feels a bit itchy, but is is less than before. He's got his spots where if I scratch him, his leg gets pumping. He's not going after his back and sides with his teeth and paws very much though. Overall, this shampoo has lessened his itchiness substantially.

Great For Everyday Itching, But A Slight Hassle For More Severe Cases

I got this shampoo thinking it would help out my dog even a little with his battle with mange. I thought this would do until we acquired his mange shampoo and I feel like it’s been working quite well.

I picked this because it has natural ingredients like ginger roots and Japanese wasabi, as well as no parabens, detergents, sulfates, soap or by products. It’s also organic in its nature. At first, I thought he just had sensitive skin and I immediately got this. This comes in a large bottle, great value for the price. It is also a clear liquid, thick but also slimy. It comes out the bottle easy, even though I wish it had a pump or something rather than a squeeze bottle. It works fine to apply it to his coat.

The first wash, revealed tons of dirt that came off effortlessly, it lathered quite well. But, the bigger the dog, you have to use more to work it around. Either way, it bubbled up nicely, not too thick or too thin in its coverage. It washed off easily with no residue or bad look on his coat. Leaving a much brighter coat in his wake. Plus, it doesn’t smell strong. It leaves a slight piney smell and it’s definitely more pleasant than dirty smell. And it doesn’t dry out his coat too much either.

When I took him for his walk, he didn’t immediately jump in the grass to scratch like he usually does. But, this feeling wears off in another day. So, I would say this shampoo works in 48hr intervals at best, but it definitely helps the itching. And using it with his mange shampoo has been really helping the redness and irritation he has been feeling. Slowly, but surely he’s coming around.

So, this is definitely a great shampoo for everyday itching. It’s a bit of a hassle with anything more severe, but it does it’s purpose.

Not the normal anti itch medicine odor

The first thing I noticed with this shampoo is that it didn't have that normal antiseptic type odor. This has more of a citrus type odor? Can't really pinpoint exactly what I'm smelling. But, I like it.
I did shampoo my dog today with this shampoo. She is itching less this evening. Will have to see if it continues.
It didn't seem to dry out her skin. But then again, I have to wait a few days to fully see how well this shampoo works. Her fur is nice and soft so I'm assuming her skin is also. With her not itching, I know she's feeling a lot better.
I do like the odor of it. I like the size bottle. This will last a long time since I'll only need it during her bad allergy times.

Really Works Well! Hydrating Body Wash

We have a 15 year old yorkie who has developed dry, sensitive skin as he has gotten older. This shampoo provides a nice, gentle lather, cleans him well, and leaves him with a nice, clean smell. I washed his face, and the shampoo didn’t irritate his eyes or ears, either. His coat looks and feels silky smooth and clean. When I blow dried him after his bath, his hair seemed to dry faster, too, which means less irritation on his skin from the heat. I love it and so does he! I definitely recommend this for any dog, sensitive skin or not.

My dog has super sensitive skin and issues with itching a lot. This Spina organics shampoo works great for him. I like the consistency of it. It's not thin and runny, it's the perfect texture and lathers extremely well. The scent is amazing! It smells so good, and gives my dog a good thorough cleaning, without causing him any skin irritation. The fact that it's vegan is a major plus in my book. I will be ordering this again in the future!

What I like - natural ingredients and fresh smelling fragrance. Lathers easily and rinses well. Large bottle that will last a long time

What I don’t like - I felt like my 3 dogs had different reactions. My English bulldog has sensitive skin and dandruff issues and this cleaned her well and I felt her skin didn’t have the typical dandruff or dryness after, but the fresh scent and smell was gone as soon as she was dry. She almost had a wet dog smell. It worked well for her skin but I wish the fragrance stayed. My rottie/Australian shepherd mix, who has longer thicker hair didn’t have the same results. This seemed to dry his skin out, I had to use a conditioner to get his coat shiny and soft. My olde English bulldog has short gray hair and this washed him fine and seemed to have the best results as he doesn’t have skin issues and the scent was stronger on him and lasted longer than the other two. He looked and smelled clean.
If your dog has sensitive skin or dandruff issues, I feel like this addresses Those issues well, but if your dog has long or thick fur you’ll probably need to use a conditioner to get the soft shiny look and feel.

This is a nice shampoo. It isn't as moisturizing as I'd like but it does not seem excessively drying. It is VERY thick. So thick that it is difficult to apply; next time, I might try diluting it a bit. As it was, I ended up using a TON to get it to cover and spread properly. To be fair, my dog was filthy so that may play a factor as well. Typically after a bath, she tends to scratch quite a bit and she did not do that with this one.

Nice organic dog wash. Our pup has sensitive skin and bath time usually makes it worse... I noticed after using this product he was not itching and scratching after his bath. I think the aloe in this product made a huge difference for him and not drying out his skin.

You haven't lived until you have come close to a dachshund that has rolled in something. It is pretty much a daily occurrence since she loves to dig stuff up and use it as a perfume. Sometimes she finds something extremely rancid and tries to bring it in the house. I usually catch her before that happens but she ends up smelling horrible. I am lucky I can toss her in the sink and quickly wash her off.

This shampoo is very gentle on her skin and really kills any odor that might linger. It lathers easily and rinses off cleanly. I appreciate that this doesn't mask the odor but actually gets rid of it.

This dog body wash from Spina Organics have been good for my dog with an itchy rump. He is a 11 yr old medium sized dog, and his been scratching a particular spot a lot and I noticed it was dry. I groom dogs professionally, and I have my favorite shampoo & conditioner, but im always open to trying new products. My Standard Poodles were my guinea pigs for this shampoo.
I feel like this gives a nice good clean. It isn't as effective on grease as I would like, but it cleans the body really well (and by grease I mean greasy areas like ears, especially on long haired breeds like Yorkies, Cockers, poodles etc).
It's easy to spread, the formula isn't thick. My Standard's still needed a conditioner after using this to soften up the hair and lock in moisture after cleaning it. I used my own conditioner, not one from Spina Organics.
This says its good for sensitive skinned dogs. Not sure how true that is, there's a fragrance and in my experience true sensitive skinned dogs do best with very basic shampoos that have no fragrance (if thats your dog, try using a shampoo made for face only cleaning).

My three pups all sleep on the bed, usually snuggled up against me. I have a fine-tuned sense of smell and, much as I love my dogs, I don't want them nearby if they are stinky. Although they spend most of their days indoors, asleep, none of them will pass up any chance to dig around outdoors in something disgusting.

And then they need a bath.

Since all three are under 20 lbs, it's easy to take them into the shower and wash them off. The Spina product is gentle, made with natural ingredients, so although I try to keep it out of their eyes, I'm not too worried if a droplet ends up in the wrong place. The shampoo rinses out easily and leaves them smelling fresh and ready for a good night's sleep. The bottle is a generous size, and I expect it will last us for a while.

I love the scent and it lasts but isn't overwhelming like a perfume. It suds up really well and it lasted as I massaged my dogs skin. My pup has always dealt with allergies, we got the red/irritation under control with wiping down after playtime but he still has some dry patches where the hair is thinner. Have worked on his diet and tried supplements, nothing has helped so I'm giving this a try. No improvement yet but obviously it will take more then a couple baths. Even for a short haired bully his fur was noticeably softer and the scent is snuggle worthy. He didn't have any negative reactions which has happened before (rashes/inflammation) so I feel good about the ingredients.

Spina Organics, All-Natural Itch Relief Dog Shampoo as described is a nice organic product. It is real hard to truly know all the ingredients inside this product, but it does not change the results, which to my satisfaction are perfect. The one thing I liked the most is the scent , OMG the scent. I will just buy this product repeatedly just by how it smells before and after usage as my dogs smell clean and refreshing. One might say that it is a little overpriced, but you get what you pay for and this is definitely worth each cent. I LOVE IT and recommend to try it.

I cannot rave about this product enough. I will only buy Spina products for my Cavalier pup. He has very sensitive skin, and can get irritations, awful hotspots, and since we started using spina he never itches his skin his coat is gorgeously soft AND super clean which never happens with other organic non itch shampoos and products. We will only use organic products on our dog and this outperforms other organic and chemical products. Not to mention it smells heavenly not like those fake goody smells. Light fresh sophisticated. Lathers beautifully for organic. A little goes a long way. Safe when used near eyes. We use most of the line after trying the shampoo and we love all of the products. Thank you Spina! Our pup is gorgeous and healthy and happy.

This shampoo smells wonderful and the scent isn’t too strong, just smells nice and clean! However, the shampoo itself is very thick and it’s a bit difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. It would be better if it had a pump. Otherwise great product. A little goes a long way.

I've been a full time professional groomer for 10 years over the course of 25 years. I've never seen these type of results. I've known for a long time that you can blow mats away from the skin after a bath, but with this I've seen minor tangles actually blow out completely.
I've been using it on every dog since we got a bottle to try at work. For small dogs, I wash the dog, spray 3 to 5 times in my hand, and run my hands gently over the whole dog, and then rub it in well. I then add more to the ears, beard, top-knot, and tail. I've been able to remove tangles in ears and tails with just a coated pin slicker!
It's not sticky or greasy at all and it leaves the coat silky and shiny.

Two days ago I used a ton on a Yorkie whose medicated shampoo had left dry and brittle. When he came in he was greasy. Rinse out conditioner barely helped. His coat looked great afterwards and I can't wait to hear from the owner if it helps him stay cleaner.

I thought I would try this face cleaner but did not have very high expectations since I’ve tried so many cleaners. I have a little Malchi and he is white and has a tear stain issue and needs to have the fur around his mouth cleaned since he takes some of his meds via syringe. I have been very happy with the cleaning results and have been using the cleaner every day. Great product! I will definitely be ordering again. This is my go to face cleaner.

A Great Shampoo for Dogs with Black/Grey coats

I do like this product. It was actually recommended to me by the owner of Spina who I happened to run into at my dog’s daycare. He saw that my dog had a grey and black coat and said this shampoo would help retain the darker colors, which as time passes, his coat would lighten due to age. So I decided to try it out, and I think it’s working. His hair does seem more lustrous and more intense than before. See the picture. And it smells good and hair feels extra soft. It’s just like regular shampoo, but it does come out black and then lathers to a white foam. I’m definitely going to keep using, and I even bring it along to my regular groomer for them to use.

I have tried other products on our puppy and she would continue to have skin irritation. The vet put her on antibiotics 3 times and this last time I decided to switch to Spina Organics.
